This presentation will utilize the Teaching Tolerance anti-bias education framework. Participants will be exposed to standards in the area of Identity, Diversity, Justice and Action. We will focus on the standards and what pedagogy would look like in these arenas for the varying age groups. We will explore iCan statements and student-centered outcomes related to inclusive classrooms. Teachers will engage in critical thinking and discussion surrounding classroom diversity scenarios appropriate for their grade level. During this workshop session teachers would be building or augmenting lessons to include outcomes from the IDJA standards.
